Community Renewal Austin is a volunteer network of Block Leaders who believe that caring neighbors can transform our city.

Community Renewal Austin was started by Allison Vise Finch, a longtime resident of southwest Austin, who grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana on a caring street with two dedicated Block Leaders.

Allison serves as a Block Leader on her street and has seen how intentional connection and care can create positive relationships among neighbors from all walks of life.

She and other Block Leaders enjoy working together to create stronger friendships among their neighbors.

Their goal is to recruit hundreds of Block Leaders across Austin who will work together to keep their neighbors connected in caring friendship!

Community Renewal Austin is an independent replication of Community Renewal International, which began in Shreveport, Louisiana over 25 years ago with the mission of connecting neighbors to restore the foundation of safe and caring communities.
